Chair Caning, Rush, and Splint Weaving in Asheville, North Carolina

Fiber Rush and larger Splint (1/2 inch wide):  $3/inch (across the widest part of the chair)    *$2.50/inch by special arrangement
Smaller (1/4 inch wide) Splint weave:  $4/inch
Machine Woven Cane (Price varies according to job):  Regular cane in seat or back with standard groove and spline  $3/inch (includes removal of existing cane).  Unusual weaves or patterns will require on-site pricing.
Laced cane:  $2/hole  $1.50 by special arrangement
Danish cord and natural rush are priced according to job.
Small extra fee may be added to rush chairs with slots, rush chairs that are frame only (no legs or back), or machine woven cane that is particularly difficult to remove.
Natural Rush:  $12/hour + cost of materials
Minimum price for any weave is $40
Delivery fee: free within 15 miles of West Asheville

HOLIDAY HOURS:  We will be out of town from December 23-January 2…returning to Planet Art for regular business hours Tues, January 3 at Noon!

Thanks for visiting Chair Repair, located in the River Arts District in Asheville, NC.  We provide exceptional craftsmanship and care in repairing your woven chair seats. Chair caning is in my blood.  My family has been caning since at least the mid-1800’s according to the written history.  I began caning in 2005 and since then, I have continuously sought out new styles, new weaves, and new projects.  I weave cane, rush, splint (or split) weaves in various styles, danish cord, and more!  All work is guaranteed, estimates are free, and pick-up/delivery services are available.
